A Mosquito Control Inspector will conduct an inspection and surveillance for both immature (larvae and pupae) and adult mosquitoes in the surrounding area. Immature mosquito surveillance involves surveying the area for breeding habitats. Adult surveillance is performed by landing rates (how many mosquitoes land on a person within a given amount of time) and/or trappings. Based on the results, and if certain criteria are met, your area may be treated by larviciding and/or adulticiding by backpack, spot treatment by the inspector, and/or scheduled for truck-mounted spraying.
